And then we stumbled on this little gem in the back corner of the Créon marketplace. Créon has fab...markets every Wednesday (which are also highly recommended) and a smaller Saturday, but the highlight for us was this really good coffee. All right, we went back for another... and then we bought the beans to get home with us!
Best coffee we had during our holiday in the region. A small shop that was torn away from shops at the end of a parade, but what a find. Popped over the street to the terrace then back into this store with our cake and sat outside in comfortable chairs watching the world over. We couldn't resist a second cup of such a great coffee.
After a two-month trip to Europe and the fight for a decent cup of coffee we discovered a coffee mekka in La Tasse Qui Fume in the small village of Creon about 25 kilometers south of Bordeaux. We were in St Quentin...de Baron about 10 kilometers away and drove daily to this café for our regular fixation. We would recommend her cappuccino. Friendly husband and wife team as your host. We visited La Tasse Qui Fume on our recent trip through Bordeaux. It was an excellent place to stop for coffee. The service was excellent and the owners were outstanding. The patio provided a wonderful view of the town square. If you are travelling through...Creon, don't miss it!
Service knowlegable and helpful. I am buying 1 or 2 different teas each week to deguste like wine. It is helpful that they sell small amounts to try (50g) just in case you don 't want to load up on something that you really don 't care...for...I will have to start on the coffees and chocolate, next...yummy...This is not a restaurant, but a tea and coffee cafe.
