I don’t eat there often because it’s hard to justify a $20 sandwich. Needless to say I have to give this place 1 star for two reasons- 1. How does a sit down restaurant not have a bathroom or at least a place for customers to wash their meat hooks before handling their lunch. 2. I was left utterly speechless today after being charged $3.50 for a can of Coke Zero. Come on Mr Pringle, Mr Chip or Mr Potato- whoever you are. That is highway robbery.
I tried this place twice and would not return. The first time the bread was so hard and stale it was like bitting a rock! I couldn't eat the bread because it was impossible to chew. I decided to give this place a second try after reading all the great reviews, thinking this was just a one off thing. On my second visit I told the cashier about my previous experience and asked if they had any softer bread. She assured me that it was probably hard because it was toasted and recommended I order it un-toasted. I did and had the exact same experience, rock hard inedible bread. $15 for a sandwich I wasn't able to eat so yeah I cannot recommend this place. For what it's worth both times I did visit towards the end of the day.
Best meatball sandwich I've ever had! It was huge and tasted great. Kinda messy but that's alright, I'm getting my money's worth if it's literally overflowing. Service was quick and they brought the sandwich right out to my table. A few spots to sit inside and out.
Love the sandwiches- so yummy. Staff is very helpful. Atmosphere is nice, pretty typical and does the job.
Mendocino is cheaper and it's right down the street
