The person reviewing and saying that it is not real Cuban has obviously never been to Havana or even south Florida to eat Cuban. The bread the Ivan bakes is authentic as it gets. From the time my Father took me to real Cuban restaurants until today, I can truthfully say, from experience, that CoCo 's bread and food is as good as it gets for Cuban. If you are eating Cuban at all the chains and various restaurants that have Cuban on the menu, you missed it nowhere close! CoCo 's is fantastic!
One visit, for dinner, was pedestrian, not very authentic. Vaca frita was just OK, black beans not good at all.
We would’ve given them a 3. Although the food was good, our first food choice was not available. The service was quite slow and the waitress was very rude at the end. Given these factors we gave them 10% tip but she told us : “you probably need that more than me”. What in the world ? Her comment wasn’t necessary. Can’t imagine how this business has managed to stay in business this long.
Ordered the roasted pulled pork on pressed Cuban roll. The roll is very important and was very good. However, very little amount of pork and overboard on mayonnaise and mustard. There were pieces of the sandwich with no pork at all. I could barely get a feel for the taste of the roast pork since there was very little and too much condiments. I might try again and order extra meat and light on the condiments.
