Definitiw a night for this classic steakhouse! our waiter (justin) was great, but our escaped took an hour to leave the kitchen. the “manager” was less than helpful or apologetic, although it favored the meal. if it hadn't been for the nice waiter, we would have paid and left after 30 minutes waiting! Hope that was one night just fiasco?!
We waited for almost 90 minutes to eat. our waiter was very successful and never even came to tell us that eating was on the way. After I had waited for an hour, my man was up to find someone. then our waiter came to the table and said: “It’s almost ready to eat. it is late because they have ordered their steak food.” Finally, 4 of us received 5 our food. the fifth was a burger and it did not come to the table for another 10 minutes. the lachs was well prepared, but cold. the burger was also cold. so were all sides, and the fried okra tasted as if they sat at least one day on the counter. that was really one of the worst, perhaps the worst, culinary experiences we've ever had. it was cruel.
Waiter failed to put our order in then 45 minutes later came back to tell us he had done so as if it was no issue. Then it still took an additional 30 minutes for the food to come out. Nothing like a 7:30PM reservation then have to end up closing the place and having listen to blaring loud, rap music. Last visit for us.
The food is always pretty good here. However, since they sold out it’s $10 more for a steak. The service was okay. It felt like we were being rushed. It was a Christmas dinner that was late in coming so we needed some time to chat and talk over the season. Not for our waiter. It felt like the whole time we were rushed. Overall it was good, but the wait staff needs to be cognitive of their customers and not push.
