Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónOne surprise about the Po' Boy was that it was served on a hamburger bun—perhaps they were out of hoagies? It also included onion, tomato, and lettuce, reminiscent of a burger. Nevertheless, the shrimp was delicious and fresh. The mahi tacos were excellent! I ordered the blackened version, and the chef warned me about the spice level, genuinely asking if that was okay. I appreciated that he cared about his customers' preferences and offered to adjust the spice to my comfort level. I opted for the regular spice level, though personally, I would have preferred it just slightly milder, as it tended to overshadow the other flavors. There was a generous portion of fish compared to many other places that serve mahi-mahi. The fish was perfectly cooked, thick, and juicy—ideal mahi-mahi. The cabbage was fresh and crisp, and the homemade salsa complemented the fish nicely, though it was quite watery. If someone were to transport this dish, it could end up soggy by the time it arrived. My suggestion would be to strain any components before assembling the tacos to maintain their integrity during transport. Thankfully, I was able to enjoy my meal fresh, so it didn't get soggy. Both meals came with homemade French fries that we thoroughly enjoyed. They were well-seasoned and clearly made from hand-cut potatoes, not frozen. I would also like to extend my services to the owner. I am a Google-certified 360 Photographer and can create 360 photos/videos, along with still images of the food truck, freshly made food, and the menu. Kid-friendliness: As long as your child enjoys seafood, they should find something they like. Just be sure to ask about the spice levels in some meals before ordering. Parking: Since it's a food truck, you can typically find adequate parking nearby. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes! The Chef/Captain is accommodating and will make it work. As long as you can reach the food truck, you’ll be able to place your order, and the food will be handed to you. The option to call ahead may also be helpful in this regard.
A definite must-try! You truly get your money's worth in both food and outstanding customer service. Newt is incredibly charming, and he personally catches and prepares all the dishes. This is undoubtedly some of the best food you’ll find anywhere!
I've waited a long time for this… I'm so glad you guys are back!
I wish I had better photos but we ate the crab cakes and half the fries on the way home. This place is beyond a hidden gem, this is some of the best seafood I have ever eaten. The owner/cook/supplier Mordecai is a real gem, wakes up three in the to fish, preps and makes his own sauces and cooks all day. Just amazing, nothing fried is greasy, all the flavors like the garlic shrimp are familiar but unique, just some of the best seafood I have ever eaten. His crab cakes are all fresh meat grilled with no filler, 2 for under $20, in New York one of those would be $45, plus the sauce was great. Defiantly hit us up if you want have a really special meal to take home, or just a great picnic. Mordecai was really proud of his food and absolutely should be, he really brightened a rough day for my mom and myself. 6 stars.
I ordered the full blue crab tray with shrimp, spicy. It comes with corn, potatoes, beef sausage and a boiled egg. It was delicious and the they give you so much food that two people can split a tray or you can eat the second half for another meal. Great customer service and always hot and fresh!
