The champignon pizza was delicious. The ahí tower was good, but not as freash. Service was attentive and friendly.
Can't say enough about this place! Food delicious! Service superb! Great wine choices! Prawns were superb and the sauce incredible! Muscles done to perfection! Calamari melted in your mouth! Bread soft and delicious for picking up every last bit of sauce on all. Just go!
I phoned to make a reservation for dinner for two to celebrate my husband 's birthday. They had a table available and I gave my phone number. They told me that it was a prix fixe menu because it was Mother 's Day and I told them fine as long as they had the lamb shank as an option. They did and told me the menu was on their website. I searched the website to no avail and phoned back. I was told it was on their Facebook page. Looked at that no Mother 's Day menu there. So we arrived for our 5:30 reservation and the hostess promptly tells me she doesn 't see our reservation. I told her to please be sure and she barely spent a few seconds double checking. She could have even asked my name and number again. I asked for the manager and he said they had a table and that we would be seated. No apology for a lost reservation. The table was fine and we ordered drinks. Then our server returned to take our order. He asked me to order first. I went ahead and ordered for myself and then for my husband. He abruptly stops me, very confused, and tells me to order all courses for my husband first then myself ! After that debacle, I had to wait for him to return to ask for a birthday candle on the dessert. The server replied of course . Over the course of the dinner, the server returned to the table only to serve us by literally dropping the plates on the table, not placing them, and rushing off, once even before we could ask for silverware, which we had to ask the busboy to replace. Then the busboy brings our dessert: no candle in sight. The server passes by the table, sees the dessert without the candle, and whispers sorry . As he bolts again. Then he has the audacity to return to drop, not place, the check with a 20% fixed service fee on the table, without a word proposing to correct. Overall the food was excellent. The service, except for that provided by the busboy, was absolutely dismal. We 'll go somewhere else for our next special occasion.
Same location where it was called Pizza Antica before. The location in Google maps is incorrect and actual location is across the side street from the parking lot. Good food, very good and friendly service. Try the mushroom pizza, salmon, or chicken dish. They also have $7 sangria specials starting on Thursdays every week. The ambience is friendly and the decor is minimalist. The portions are big. You can see the impact of inflation in the prices. If you pay using the QR code (sends you to Toast) it includes tax for calculating tip percentages, which is not great. Hopefully they fix it.
We walked in and the hostess told us there were no tables available even though only one table in the entire restaurant was occupied and everything else was empty. We were given the option to sit at the bar or outside when it was raining hard. We sat at the bar but I felt like I had been cheated so I called the restaurant on my mobile phone from the bar and the hostess told me that the restaurant was open seating and that tables were available if I walked in and that they only accept reservations for parties of 5+. This made me feel very disappointed and I went up to her and asked her if she could sit us at a table to which she flatly told us no table is available even though I could see at least half the restaurant still had empty tables. By that time my partner had ordered the Tuscan white bean bacon and kale soup which was very watery and lacked flavor. We paid and left but won’t be returning to this place for sure The city of Danville will not be getting my business anytime soon if ever!
