Ordered the Fish Roasties from the “Light Menu” and the portion was huge! Really liked how you could have 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoe $3.95 add on). Food was delicious and our server, Amy Lynn was lovely
We had arrived late in town but were pleased to find this restaurant still open. Our waiter was outstanding. He was kind and funny and helped us to settled down and relax after a long day of travel. My partner had cod, which was fresh and beautifully prepared. I had a chicken sandwich that I thought a bit disarrayed in its flavor palate but it was still satisfying. The best part of all may be the views across the harbor to Halifax, watching the familiar pattern of the ferries crossing back and forth. Their patio would be the perfect place to enjoy a meal and unwind with a peaceful view. Our meal was a great welcome to Dartmouth!
The atmosphere was very good given the clean, well-organized promises and beautiful views of the Halifax skyline. I found the staff to be very friendly and the food quality was also good. I found the place to be a little bit on the pricey side though. I recommend this place. My experience here was positive.
Funny (but also semi seriously) they should have called it the hokey pokey, bc you will get yourself all turned around trying to find the entrance. Go into the Market and follow signs for elevator. It's on the 2nd floor. I cannot think of a restaurant where I've eaten more/better to die for food. Everything was absolutely delish. Our waiter, Sam, was great. We sat outside on a chilly day, they provided blankets for guests that were cold. 10/10, find a way to make sure you eat here!
The food was fantastic, and the service was even better. I don't think I've ever had such good service in a restaurant. Importantly, the server was very proactively helpful to one of our party at navigating the menu for a dietary restriction. I ordered the scallop pasta. It was delicious. As feedback though, I think I'd suggest mentioning in the menu how many scallops are in the dish. As a tourist from a non-coastal part of Canada, seafood pricing in restaurants is unfamiliar to me. So despite how much I loved the dish and would recommend it, I may have chosen something different had I known how many scallops would be involved. Not a complaint, just feedback from a tourist who is still learning to ask before ordering when it comes to mouthwateringly delicious, fresh seafood. Oh, and get the creme brule. It's worth it.
