I picked the fish and chips because it was made from haddock rather than cod. It was AMAZING. Best fish and chips I've ever had. The seating by the fireplace was cozy and comfortable. I am American and I visited Madigans with a local that enjoyed it as well, so you can trust that it's delicious! I love it here, and I will continue to come here on my visits to Dublin.
Great local pub on O 'Connell 's Street Lower serving some great Guinness. Came here one night for dinner after a day 's outing and working up an appetite. I ordered their Madigan Tower Burger: 13.95 8oz prime Irish Steak burger, melted red cheddar, beef tomato, baby gem leaf, crispy smoked bacon, topped with Madigan homemade burger sauce served with a spiced curved chip. My friend ordered the Sweet Potato, Courgette Cauliflower Burger: 13.95 (Vegan) with crushed Avocado, fresh chilli jam, salted tomato baby gem leaf. Their burger was delicious, even though you can 't tell them to cook it medium in Ireland. The beef just tastes so fresh and yummy. I could eat one of these burgers every night for dinner no problem. I 'm obsessed with their what I usually call french fries but instead they 're called chips. They were just so perfect and hot the way they came out, you wouldn 't even need a dipping sauce to eat them with. Definitely finger-licking good. Ok, now I 'm drooling thinking of them. Our server was very nice and was even from Canada if I can remember correctly. Our food and drinks came out quickly and we also didn 't have a wait to be seated. The restaurant is long and large with ample seating. I 'll definitely be back for those chips next time I 'm in Dublin.
Friendly service and great Irish food. I enjoyed the Bangers and Mash with its crispy sausages a rich flavor. My wife ordered the chowder and it was so light creamy!
Food is absolutely delicious and worth its money. Drinks are a little on the pricey side, though. Definitely try the Guinness Beef Stew or the Shepherd’s Pie.
We stopped in here for dinner, as it was conveniently located. Our waiter was very nice and efficient. We ordered a Guinness and our meal, and all came out quickly. My Irish stew was delicious and flavorful. Mr B's fish and chips were bland and soft. The quest for crispy, tasty Irish fish and chips continues.
