Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónStop at a weekend bike trip for lunch. The food was great and a lot of it. Some of us ordered the Lodge Burger, who is Venison and wild boar. DELICIOUS! Some had carvings and other different burgers. Everyone commented on how good the food was and that we would definitely make it a regular stop on our tours. While we were stopped for lunch, a monsoon flew in and we couldn't go on the rest of the day. We found out about rooms at night and where we can park our bikes. The owner was gracious enough to leave us behind the use of his garage so that we can get bicycles from the weather and dry out equipment. Not only that they let us use their dryer to dry our wet laundry. After we have changed and a hot shower for warming up, sorting and drying, we enjoyed a few drinks in Baldachin until dinner and not disappointed again. The food and hospitality were excellent and on behalf of my entire group recommend the bears Den!!
There's a reason this place is full all the time. Good service, good prices and good food! Have visited three times and have not been disappointed.
We went to dinner with a group of four and were disappointed with the meal. The two appetizer plates were simple and uninteresting, the burger was overcooked, the chicken wings were cold, and the carvings lacked flavor. The veggie wrap was cold and had a strange, papery taste as if it had been taken straight out of the fridge. Despite wanting to send the dishes back to the kitchen, we decided to be polite and ate everything. We also ended up skipping desserts as we were unimpressed with the meal overall. The quality did not match the high prices we paid.
People driving through DR stop at Burger King or Timmy’s but the locals eat here. We experienced excellent quality on two different occasions. Fresh crisp greens in the super salads, delicious chilli for lunch. The smoked trout eggs “Benny” for breakfast where amazing. This place...takes pride in their food and it shows. We’ll stop in on every trip through Deep River. Treat yourself.
It is older rooms have a slight smell, restaurant needs to be updated, stains on the seating area. There is a bar area which again needs a complete over haul. It’s dark in there it needs windows, there is none.
