Checkers Rally's - DeLand

It took a little time to get a cheeseburger and milkshake, but there were only two guys who worked and the drive-thru got involved. Since they were busy, and there were only two of them and they were under much pressure, they held their cool and they were really professional. I was up to the window. And I wasn't in a hurry, even though I understand the fight. God bless the two young men who keep it out. It's hard to find good help these days and the two they were on their game.

Checkers is, by design, small and has a friendly staff. The fries here a very good. We eat outside (there is no dine in area).

All we wanted was some swirl ice cream and we were hoping our favorite manager Mizz Tina was working this store. She is working DeLand instead of Daytona this week. So anyway, we won't go there again. Employees acting like kids, my cone was sloppy, sideways, and dripping. My fiance's cup wasn't even half filled...so not worth the trip in the batmobile...??to this store and their unprofessional ice cream service. But thanks to the kid that complimented my guages, I didn't really respond cuz I was disappointed in the service, but I did notice he had guages too. Mine are 1 , you got a ways to go bud, keep stretching.

If I could give a negative 10 I would . One worker standing outside smoking 2 others acting like children were also outside when we pulled in, the girl Kaley was very unprofessional couldn't even take a simple order of 1 ice cream cup and 1 cone.. she pretty much tossed them through the window and slammed the drive through window, without giving me a spoon and neither of us any kind of napkin .. Looks like this place needs to reevaluate their hiring protocol... I will never ever come back here nor will I recommend this one.. I'll stay to my favorite checkers on Nova Rd where there's genuine employees and Miss Tina's crew who are very respectful and professional.

Let me tell you something, Mrs. Latasha is everything that this restaurant means to me. My son and I often frequent this restaurant after school because he LOVES her demeanor and service. Because of HER, I've been able to get him to eat consistently when before I couldn't. He asks everyday if he can go to see her and get his cheeseburger and root beer, the Latasha special. I'm so appreciative of her and her smile every time we go there. Because of her, we will be back until the doors close. Give her a raise. She is what a great employee means. A pure example..
