Zafran was a go to restaurant for us since some years because it had less rush, the food was good and in a reasonable price. But today we were totally disappointed by the food and service. We ordered for golden fried prawn for starters. It was smelling like dry fish and the smell was very much strong. When we confronted with the manager, he explained that the prawns served here are fermented and so the smell is obvious. He then suggested on making chilli prawns out of the same plate of prawn served before. According to him it won't smell after that. We rejected and told them to cancel. But they said they cannot cancel it. Till that time the chef was here too and he too explained us the same thing. So we agreed atlast to eat another chicken dish in the price of the prawns as we were hungry enough and was not in a position to fight more. So we had to pay extra for their mistake
