Treehouse Cafe Coffee - Duck

We were really excited to try this place and made the drive down here only to find that they close at 1pm and their website states 3pm, unless you’re local you unfortunately wouldn’t know that. What made it sad was that they wouldn’t serve us even though we walked in prior to 1pm, we only stopped for coffees.

Amazing little breakfast shop with different specials every day definitely worth the wait.Update February 2024 same great food amazing staff however, a little cleaning would not hurt

The Chorizo Smash sandwich is probably the best sandwich I have had in a long time. It is clear the sandwich was crafted by a true professional that knows what they are doing. The price was a bit high, but that was expected being in the tourist rich area we were visiting.

Best biscuits on the Outer Banks! Love the local sourced ingredients and healthy focus. The chicken biscuit is my favorite and my daughters love the honey biscuits. Really nice to sit in the shade and eat as well. Kid-friendliness: Easy for kids to run and play.

I want to like this place, the brisket biscuit was great. However, the avocado toast was horrible. They even have to remove most of the toppings...The kitchen is also actively hostile to any dietary restrictions (like dairy, not the same as lactose intolerant). They evidently have zero cross-contination policies. Everything is pre-mixed with butter and milk -Will never return.
