Very good.Filet was perfectly cooked medium rare, the veggies were tender, would have enjoyed some mashed potatoes. Perhaps a sautéed mushroom option or gravy. The potato stack had a lot of pepper which initiated a cough.Spouse ordered scallops with pesto pasta which he enjoyed as well. The atmosphere, nice decor and lighting.Had a crème brûlée for dessert, very nice.Overall was an awesome dinner and would go again!
Everything we ordered was exceptional apart from my entrée, which was the special scallops with french fry straws. Promoted as LARGE but they were actually medium to small scallops and the dish was overwhelmed with the french fry straws. The Lamb lollipops and charcuterie board were extremely flavorful and the bouillabaisse was fantastic. Overall a great place for fine dining with one misstep that I can overlook based on the whole experience.
Slow Service The kitchen and waitstaff moved at a snail’s pace. It took a long time to get a drink order taken and the waiter forgot to bring one of the drinks. After another delay the food order was taken and over 60 minutes passed before the food was delivered and they forgot to deliver the appetizer. When the food arrived, one of the steak order was improperly cooked, but too “exhausted” to have the order cooked correctly. I had the duck which was tepid temperature. The actual food ingredients were good quality but the enormous delays, missed orders, and improper cooking diminished the experience. We were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours.
Great little restaurant with a fantastic menu. Jazz duo playing added to the cozy atmosphere. Service was outstanding. A little pricey by Dunedin standards but well worth it.
Don't let the strip mall facade fool you inside is top of the line dining, equipped with a jazz band at the door. Excellent service, food was innovative, delicious, and a great portion size for the price, which is comparable to a fine dining restaurant. Only small con:I can say is cocktail happy hour is only at the bar which is 10 feet away from their booths they could not accommodate my guest who is 80 Years old who could sit in high top chairs as she only wanted that option from the smaller menu specials. I feel for a new patron who isn't able to enjoy that area due to disability they could have made a small sacrifice let her have the special but we made due best we could just kinda made us feel lil iffy about the experience. but the food we ate was great, perfect rack of lamb, and the creme Brulee was on point.
