Was informed it was a 40 minute wait which was fine but turned out to be an hour wait. Came and picked up the food easy and the host was very nice. Got back home and started eating the paneer tikka masala and it had chicken in it. Couldn’t call back due to the facility being closed. I don’t know if the discrepancy was due to ordering an hour before they closed or what but I ordered a vegetarian item they recommended when I asked but still got chicken inside of it. The garlic naan had pieces of garlic on it but the naan bread itself had no regular flavor but the normal naan bread flavor. The food did seem authentic and the chicken korma had a whole piece of chicken on the bone falling right off. Both dishes were a bit on the greasy side but that didn’t bother me really. The only thing that bothered me was having chicken in a vegetarian dish. Vegetarian options: They had a number of vegetarian options but are limited on bbq days. CHECK YOUR VEGETARIAN DISHES FOR MEAT. We had chicken in our paneer tikka masala when it was on the veggie list and stated it had no meat in it.
Ordered chicken wings, chicken tandoori, and chicken biryani. chicken wings were super hard could not eat tandoori was okay biryani was blend no flavor, plain no taste at all Wouldn’t return and would not suggest.Literally throwing away $50 of food!
We tried Bhindi Masala, Methi Paneer Malai, Dal Tadka, Garlic, Chili Naan, and Kheema Naan in the main course. Pani Puri was like Dahi masala puri ? Methi puri chat as well. Food was above average... it was not that great or wow taste. If you are hungry and seeking basic Indian food, you won't regret it if you try here. It's Indo Pak restaurant.
We ordered from this place based on the positive reviews but I would caution people against it. It would appear that most of the positive reviews here are from people who aren't used to good Indian food. The taste of food was very mediocre and the underlying base was exactly the same for different dishes we ordered. They also don't follow instructions as we specifically asked for less oil and medium spicy but the dishes were dripping in oil and were pretty spicy. Last but not the least, the food wasn't cheap. It costed more than your typical Indian restaurant in a suburb. My guess is that this business runs entirely on tourists who are one-time customers. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
Service is good.Ordered a Indian Tea along with Paneer and Chhole Bhature.Tea: Was definitely NOT fresh. Gave the Tea which taste like leftover from few hours ago and taste like Sugar cane juice with Milk.Paneer subji : Too much sweet, felt like eating sugar gravy.Chhole Bhature: Was good taste but DOESN'T come with onion or any sort of Pickles. For some reason, Paneer and Chhole Bhature had same color gravy.
