Go to the second floor bistro, completely different from downstairs. Great food, reasonably priced. I go there for lunch all the time for a nice tartar.
This afternoon we were about 25 people celebrating an 85th birthday. The food that was served was really low quality. I had the burger plate that was dry and tasteless. The fries were about the quality of McDonalds . The large birthday cake was frozen solid and even after complaining to the staff no other dessert was offered as a replacement. The person next to had sea bass with a soggy skin left on. She left most of it on the plate even after adding salt and lemon, it was still inedible. This experience left a very lasting negative and unfortunate impression on what should have otherwise been a joyous event.
We visited for a late lunch and seated in terrace. It was really good. I ordered a Halibut and my nephew a Foie de Veau and french fries in sea salt. All were delicious. Beers were good (Stella) and finalised with fruit plate and a nice creme brulee. This should be a part of list for visiting in Montreal. Staff was polite and helpful.
Used to go to the original location, always had a great time. Lately since the relaunch, the service has been not so great. Went the last two years to be served by the same waitress on the terrace, not a good experience. Service is slow, and not very friendly. This year for our trip we decided not to visit this establishment. Good luck in the future!
