Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis place is so amazing, I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll just begin at how we ended up here. My birthday is in less than a week and I asked my family to go with me to this restaurant. It had been on my list of places to visit for a whileand I decided today was finally the day. Once we walked in we were greeted with a beautiful counter where we ordered ourdrinks. We met the owner, Mark, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. Even offered to let us meet the cats before we left. (Awonderful birthday surprise! We had to wait for a few people in our party to arrive, so we walked up the ramp to the left ofthe counter, took a look around at all the beautiful and interesting decor, and grabbed a table in the back. Once the rest ofour party arrived, we went back to the counter, ordered our food, and then returned to our table where they brought out oursandwiches when they were ready. (I didn't take any pictures of the food or drinks, but they were fantastic Once we finishedeating, the owner brought us to the cat lounge to meet the cats. There were five beautiful, playful angels that we had thepleasure of meeting. (There are plenty of pictures of the intricate lounge for the cats Thank you so much to everyone at TWCfor the phenomenal experience. ??
Super cute place and the owner and workers are really nice! Definitely a gem in east haddam that you must visit! I got a banana strawberry smoothie which was nice, I liked how sweet it was, it was basically my desert drink! I got a turkey sandwich whichwas good, everything was very fresh. And we had also got a Ruben which was very tasty. We sat out at the back and you can see astream running through. Super cute and cozy atmosphere to just sit and talk while enjoying some food and drink.
This place was amazing!! Me and a friend were in the area (staying at a Getaway Outpost and found a pic of this place on Google. So we decided to go. We called ahead and asked if we could bring a dog. We were told yes, that the cats gave permissionfor her to come in. They even had homemade treats for her. The owner Mark was so friendly. He even gave us some recommendationsfor places to see in the area. It was great hearing from him about how he started the cafe. The decor is amazing. (And I don'treally like cats. It was great to see cats from around the world. As a Japan enthusiast I spotted hello Kitty and manekineko. The food was great. I had a grilled cheese and the shrimp and corn chowder. Very homey and tasty. They even were nice enough togive the pup a little meat of her own. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you were in the area. I also appreciatethe social justice messaging they have outside and inside. I highly recommend a visit to the bathroom. I'll definitely be goingback.
Finally stopped in this weekend, and so glad I did! The corned beef reuben sandwich was delicious and the owner was very friendly. A really unique and special place, will definitely be back. Update to original review, went back in again today andhad the shrimp corn chowder. It was delicious! Really loved eating in the chairs out back. Such a friendly and peaceful place, thank you Mark! See you again soon!
This is a place for misfits the owner said to me as I walked inside, and immediately I felt at home. He was riffing on my shirt but boy is this an invitingly wacky spot for a great coffee and TONS of cat stuff (as well as some actual cats in theback). I love this place and wish we had one closer to us, it would be an every day stop for me.
