Hotel is down the street from some sketchy areas but nothing major happened and I felt okay. There were 2 dead moths in my room when I checked and rooms do need to upkeep (paint, build up around fixtures). The front desk specifically Kenya was great and informative.
Woman’s Fire fighter Conference with my fire fighter wife! Great venue and location for this event.
Very nice. Clean, friendly staff. Coffee shop was delicious. Breakfast- avocado toast with bacon was very good. Room was nice and comfortable beds
Traveled in earlier today, and upon checking into the hotel I realized my one and only card got left in California where I was just visiting from. The hotel refused to let me check in and made me book elsewhere. I understand it's partially my fault for not having my physical card present, but it was unfortunate circumstances and I'm sure I can't be the only one who had a mishap like this. I had my card information already loaded on my Marriott account, I have my card number memorized, I showed them a card wallet on my phone, I offered tap to pay, and I offered to have one of my parents call with their credit card number/send over a photo. None of these were viable options. I asked about the credit card authorization physical form they have, as I've used it before in the past when I had issues checking into a hotel in Canada due to my bank, and they claimed they will not do that for same day reservations. This was a reservation I already had booked for a long time, and I have had status with Marriott for many years now, and have always recommend Marriott's to everyone I encounter. Specifically, the Delta brand was my favorite and I was highly looking forward to this stay here. The staff at the Delta hotel in Mesa were so unhelpful and unpleasant. I have never left a review for a hotel before, but I am just in awe of what happened today. I cannot believe there was absolutely nothing they could do to help me check in, even when there are numerous other options and I was more than willing to work with them as to whatever was easiest on their end. I only came to the city for a few days to see a show, and this has put such a damper on my mood for this trip. Not expecting anything from this, just wanted to put this out there that the staff here are the worst I've encountered at any hotel I've been to. Will not be trying to return here. Very disappointing behavior from both the front desk agent and manager.
