All staff friendly and helpful. Pub with a traditional atmosphere. Food was delicious, steaks beautifully cooked. Big thank you and see you soon!

Our bi annual trip to this lovely country pub when we are back in the UK. We were recommended the fish and chips by the very chatty Alan. He was right that the batter on the fish was light and very tasty. The fish and the chips were also good!! Nice pub and friendly staff. See you again when we are back.

We went to watch the FA Cup match in the bar and true to form, Ian the landlord had pulled out all the stops to make sure the the big screen TV in the bar, and the huge screen in the Lounge were on for all to see. Even supplied sandwiches, chips and nibbles at no charge. Great service and a great local!!

Friendly and authentic English country pub with friendly and helpful staff and clientele. Good food and beer, and a useful stop for walks given it's at the base of Battlestead Hill and the surrounding National Forest woodlands, not to mention the picturesque village of Tatenhill. Often has quizzes and other events.
