Joy Luck Chinese - Edgewater

Great experience. Not sure why so many reviews mention the atmosphere. It looks like a normal chinese restaurant where most people get takeout so it’s what you would expect. I got the steamed dumplings, wonton soup and sesame chicken. Everything was great and this will be my new go to chinese restaurant! My total was $24 which is super reasonable for the amount of food I received. Plenty of leftovers! Meal type: Dinner

Thank you so much for the yummy and delicious take out meal that we had Nov 17th. I know that my family can always count on Joy Luck in Edgewater to deliver fresh and hot food. The Crab Rangoon was out of this world and i am now a veg lo mein guy. Thank you so much and i cant wait to get take out next time. I have to finish all the food we ordered yesterday first lol. Lovely people work here and make good Chinese take out food. Our family got Szechuan beef, lo mein, bean curd, and egg drop soup. We enjoyed it. Food is ready in 20-25 minutes. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I have been going here off and on for years after China Wok got really greedy. But it seems it’s happening here to. I used to order the small portions very frequently but now I get at “we don’t have that in small today” excuses which is odd. It’s not like they are pre portioned meals. So what do you mean you don’t have that in small today? Could you possibly mean you don’t want to serve the small portions and only serve the large to charge more? Is that what you really mean? Chinese food used to be affordable and quick. It’s far too overpriced for what you get anymore. I won’t be back for quite some time.

This is a takeout situation. The food was great! Great price and great customer service! We had to wait about 25 minutes because they had so many orders. A little family owned business.
