A great go to place for breakfast, lunch or a cake. Been here many times. Was a bit shocked to be served a fruit scone that had been toasted. Soon changed.
My wife and I found everything at St. Giles to be delicious. The special waffle with bacon and brie was amazing, the ciabatta sandwiches were delicious, the ham and cheese croissant was great, and we found the best lattes in Edinburgh after trying various places for a week. The interior of the building is visually pleasing, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food and drinks. The only downside was the lack of high chairs for small children, but this is not a big issue if they can sit in a child car seat. We highly recommend this place if you are in the Old Town of Edinburgh!
I recently enjoyed a bowl of soup and a roasted sandwich at this restaurant. It was simple, but homemade and incredibly delicious! The service was outstanding and the cafe had a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it, a wonderful gem located right on the Royal Mile.
The café's interior is stunning with exposed walls and beautiful stonework. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
