Jester's Fast Food - Elgin

The perfect place, I love its atmosphere, its food and I love its people.

Damn, I used to eat here frequently and was pretty familiar with the prices. You could order a gyro meal, which is a gyro, fries and what amounts to a small drink by any other drive thru size standards, was $8.99. This was no more than 4 years ago. I recently ordered the same thing and it was nearly $17.00?!!! I realize inflation has made it necessary to raise prices, but DOUBLE in the last 4 years. Looks like they have gone the route of the rest of fast food and jacked up the prices well beyond inflation to increase profits. Used to love this place but it may be the last time I eat there. Nearly $20 for a fast food meal. I paid $22 the other day for prime rib at Texas Roadhouse. $17 for a fast food single person meal is a joke.

Old School Diner feel. Really nice owners and very good Greek food with decent prices.
