Waldschenke - Esslingen am Neckar

Very good kitchen at fair prices.... Unfortunately closed. The host family is now in Saxony-Anhalt. Unfortunately, this is too far to get past a rust roast.

It looks a little inconspicuous. It's always nice to come here. Really good food and very good beer and a really friendly service. Yes, the rust roast is brilliant, but also the other dishes are just delicious!

In October I visited the Waldschenke on a tour. Located in the middle of the forest over a beautiful terrace, I reached the restaurant. A very friendly service recommended my demand, the onion with roast potatoes and mixed salad. What should I say here in the middle of nowhere surprised me a pleasure that I had not found so long in this form. A meat through which the knife fell like butter, a sauce, still self-made and not out of the bag last year in another Esslinger restaurant. The roasted potatoes with bacon and onions nicely tanned and tasty, the salad, a variation of the different leaf salads with crumbles and a perfect dressing. Delicious, delicious, delicious, highly recommended and absolutely cheap. The Waldschenke should also be worth a visit, 3 enjoyment at 1 price!
