Restaurante Snack Bar A Seara

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch between Prazeres and Estreito do Calheta and had almost given up when we came along this place.We walked into the small bar full of workmen and saw no sign of food so asked if they did food and was shown into another room and this was a very nice dining room with several people dining.No one spoke English but they pointed to a plate of food someone had and said it was the dish of the day so this is what we ordered.We were amazed when it came as it consisted of 2 very large pork steaks each and a plate crammed with all sorts of vegetables and salads and it was absolutely delicious!I have a horror of fat and rarely have meat in restaurants except chicken but there was no fat whatsoever and it was melt in the mouth tender.We had no idea what it would cost and when the bill arrived we were astonished to find it was only 5 Euros each!!!We did not have anything else that day as we were still full at bedtime!A great pity we were not staying nearer to this place as we would certainly have been a regular.
