Gotta B Crepes - Evanston

Bright, open you can see your crepes being made right in front of you. Menu leans towards Mexican flair, but you have sweet and savory choices to choose from too. Hugh wooden tables and benches surround the open room. I had a fantastic herb kale batter, micro greens, goat cheese, pecans, and honey with pesto on the side. So many delicate delicious flavors in my mouth. We shared a plate of O' Cinnamon rolls, a banana wrapped up in a crepe top with cinnamon frosting, a strawberry, a drizzled with caramel sauce. Yum, Yum! I get that's it's fresh ingredients but, I thought it was a bit pricey. I would definitely come back but more of a treat place than a regular stop in.

Gotta B Crepes is the epitome of a great local business. The owners are actively involved, warmly greeting customers and making you feel like an old friend. They offer a fantastic selection of sweet and savory crepes, as well as brunch items, all made with love. I really enjoyed the Spring Chicken crepe (a kale crepe filled with chicken, mushrooms, and asparagus) and the strawberry, banana, and Nutella crepe. Additionally, the Farm Iced Tea was the perfect complement. I can’t wait to come back!

My wife is a huge fan of crepes, so I did some digging on various crepe restaurants in the area. I came across this place with an impressive average rating of 4.9 on Google, and I wanted to see if it truly deserved the hype — and it absolutely does! The 30-mile drive south from Beach Park was definitely worth it. My family gives it a big thumbs up! This cozy little café is impeccably clean, the customer service is outstanding, and the food is of exceptional quality. It's easy to see why this wonderful spot is so popular in Evanston; I’m sure many locals from the north side drop by as well. I’ve never been overly enthusiastic about crepes until now, but Gotta B Crepes has completely changed my perspective. It’s another local-owned hidden gem that deserves our support, and I wish the owner(s) ongoing success and prosperity.

In addition to its delicious and fresh food, this restaurant provides a positive energy that sets you up for a great day. Every dish we ordered was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. The sauces were absolutely outstanding! We loved our experience and will definitely be returning.

I visit this restaurant whenever I have the opportunity. The majority of the ingredients come from local farms, ensuring incredible freshness, and everything—from the sauces to the whipped cream and even the drinks—is made on-site. The food is outstanding, and so is the husband and wife team behind this wonderful establishment. Their kindness and service are unparalleled, and they are more than willing to customize anything to suit your tastes.
