It surprises me that I was more like a pizza than a tomato cake, but it was delicious. A cold glass Stella Artois and I was full. You have no personal size, so the next day I took half the cake with me for lunch. It tasted just as good. I've already eaten there, and the only complaint I had was that the ravioli was overdue. Your house wine is excellent. I don't know exactly how long Freddie was open, but I know my parents and their friends went there in the '40s and '50s when they were in court. You have to have good food to stay so long!
Great food! Bud and Vinny made this place really good!! Will return and recommend to friends and family. Great job guys!
Eating was the saving grace. Extensive menu, but minimal staff for a Friday night. Long wait for cocktail service. A bottle that observed the other tables threw frustration. Glassware wasn't clean. But it was fixed. Food was good, but extraordinary. It was fast out. After that, the dishes were almost 30 minutes while we listened to the band. Service model and supervision was annoyingly substandard.
Came here on a Friday night. The dining area had plenty of space, but of course the bar was packed. Live band they had was amazing. Great music. Our server was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and helped us to steer some good entrees when I was undecided. We started mushrooms filled with crabs. They were excellent not to chew or salty. Well balanced. My mother got the seafood fradiavolo with white wine sauce and she thought it was divine. Our server suggested I try the stuffed pork chop special and boy was right! Huge, beautiful sea-red pork stall filled with spinach, ham and cheese. The sauce was really delicious and the pork chop was cooked for perfection. Next time I'm in town, we'll stop here again. I need to support such small local gems.
Came for Happy Hour beverages. Quiet and peaceful bar atmosphere where you can actually make conversation with each other. Seems to be a real locals kind of place, as I saw many people greet each other as they arrived. Very casual and friendly older crowd. I saw food come out of the kitchen and it both looked and smelled good! Freddie 's has been there for ages and is still going strong, it seens.
