Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónIraqi House Bakery is a delightful spot to savor authentic Iraqi cuisine, both in their restaurant and convenience store. The food is tasty, with the rice being cooked almost perfectly and bursting with flavor. However, the kabob steak was just okay and lacked seasoning. Overall, it was good, but not exceptionally remarkable. The restaurant itself is small, with only a handful of tables, giving it a cozy, mom-and-pop atmosphere. The staff is very attentive from the moment you sit down. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the greater DC area. I personally felt welcomed by the friendly customer service. It’s an easygoing place to relax, enjoy a meal, and unwind without feeling rushed. Kudos to the staff here! I will definitely be returning as a repeat customer.
First impressions can be misleading, as the entrance is currently through a corner store. I tried the chicken shawarma, and it was absolutely delicious—especially the mint sauce and the bread. The owner suggested I try the baked cod next time, but asked that I call an hour in advance to ensure it's ready when I arrive.
Iraqi cuisine, halal food, and a family-owned business — this restaurant is a gem! The owner, Munir, is incredibly courteous and friendly. They serve delicious kebabs and authentic Iraqi dolma. For breakfast, don’t miss the gaimar and kahi. They also offer masgoof, the national dish of Iraq, on their menu. Highly recommended!
Either I'm the only white guy who shops here or they have a really good memory because I'm always remembered when I shop or get food here. The food at the restaraunt is delicious although when we arrive they always look like they're not prepared for customers. Regardless, they're always happy to fire up the grill and cook delicious food. This is also the first place I've found in the US that makes Masgouf and Samoon! The market is small but carries a lot of special items from Iraq. The have a butcher who cuts meat in the market. We shop here when we can because the people are so nice here.In closing, this place has great food and a lot of specialty items you can't find anywhere else. It's a little hard to find since it's located behind a strip mall but it's worth finding. If you look inside and it appears closed...don't worry it probably isn't!
Amazing food customer service!! The staff is very kind, welcoming, and sweet. The food tastes amazing and we are so glad that we decided to stop at this place and try the food ? would definitely recommend!
