Myself and 5 friends went in for Breakfast/lunch and we nearly had to be rolled out of the door due to the ammount of food we had! Fresh, hot and good value!
During lockdown the cafe are offering a takeaway service which I made use of tonight. All I can say is thank you so much for what was one of the best Sunday roasts I have ever eaten. I was in and out of the cafe in less than two minutes (having rung my order through)and the food was piping hot as well as being very well packaged I especially enjoyed the cherry pie and custard and the price represented excellent value for money. A very well deserved 10/10
Every time we go to Mildenhall, Crumbs is our essential stop. Last trip wife had shepherd's pie and I had chicken and mushroom pie. Each meal came with cabbage, peas, carrots and potatoes with plenty of gravy. The vegetables were well cooked, which helps my poor teeth! I can't stand raw vegetables. Both meals were served on a large platter so loads to eat. Their coffee is hard to beat; best I have had in a cafe or restaurant in ages. Staff are friendly and provide quick service. Really feel at home here, as though I am treated as part of the family. We'll return again soon and tell others of our experience here.
My friend's coffee was decent, but my tea was very weak and tasteless. The toast was served buttered and became soggy before the breakfast arrived. We ordered the large breakfast, which was supposed to come with three hash browns, but after tasting one, we decided not to ask for another as they had a strange taste. The plates were not warm, the mushrooms lacked flavor, the eggs were lukewarm and unappetizing, and the baked beans were only okay and lukewarm as well. Both my friend and I agreed that the sausages had a strange taste, making them the worst we had ever tried at a breakfast venue. The bacon was mediocre and also lukewarm. Having eaten breakfast at over 30 venues in Suffolk and Norfolk over the years, we both concluded that Crumbs cafe served the worst breakfast we had ever tried. Despite the disappointing meal, we did not complain to the staff as the cafe was not busy and no staff member asked about our experience. We believe that Crumbs cafe uses cheap ingredients, resulting in an unsatisfactory dining experience. If the food had been tastier, warmer, and cooked better, we would have appreciated the decent portions and value. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and we personally would not recommend Crumbs cafe.
