The beef was beautifully presented yet lacked flavour and wasn’t tender. Everything seemed to have a side of truffle aioli which is delicious but perhaps should be used in moderation. Manager had a terrible attitude when booking. We far prefer the river location and will be back once renovated, and hope the manager has moved on to be rude to customers elsewhere.
The service was great! Cocktails were lovely. The ambience is beautiful with a spectacular ocean view. We had the seafood platter which was nice but as a seafood platter at the higher price not quite the quality I would expect, prawns we over cooked. Local oysters were amazing of course. I had the strawberry shortbread dessert which was a bit heavy on the cream. I would go back to test other menu options.
Beautiful view of one mile beach that was eating excellent and the service staff very helpful with advice on servier sizes. the best pineapple cocktail I've ever had.
The food was average. we ordered the morton bay bugs with white wine and garlic sauce and it was as if they pulled them out of the freezer and they were in water soaked and the white wine sauce was a blob on the cut in the half morton bay bugs. my man asked if they could heat them up something so they were not so cold and they came back the same, I don't think they did something to them. When my husband talked to someone from the kitchen, it was almost as if they didn't care. we have often eaten there when it was shed on the boat on the wallis lake and from there had great meals. I don't know if it's under new management now, but would not recommend and we won't be back.
