Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI don't like giving negative reviews for the sake of the restaurant however I think if you have a sub par experience people should be able to make up their own minds. First I want to say that all the staff were very nice and helpful. The food was a little underwhelming. We ordered the Arancini, and the New York Pizza to play it safe. The prices were pretty high considering it was just Italian food. We ordered a couple of beers when we sat down. They took about 15 min to bring them out. Not a good start. The Arancini looked great when it arrived yet when you cut them open they were dry and over cooked. Probably from reheating. The pizza was pretty good. Traditional thin crust wood fired. Nice colour on the crust yet the pizza was just not the best. Something was missing. The highlight of the night was the live music. Taylor played some excellent retro tunes on his guitar. He was great. Would recommend Friday just for the music. Will likely try somewhere else next time and save some cash.
I guess I'm on a diet. We ordered 3 take out meals on a Friday night. 2 veal parmigiana with a side of pasta each and a penne ala rose. Now this isn't our first time here we have enjoyed frequenting this local restaurant. This was probably our 10th time either eating in or taking out since they opened. I arrived to pick up on time and waited a few minutes, not a problem at all. That means it's going to be hot when I get it home. Well it was warm, I don't know how it cooled down so much in so little time considering I had to wait a few minutes for it to be placed in take out containers. I opened my take out container and what I saw was the smallest piece of veal I think I have ever seen on a plate (photos). The veal was cool, tough and greasy. Unfortunately I was hungry so I ate it. If we had been in the restaurant I would have sent it back. My wife also had the veal and the first thing she asked me was, where's the veal? She always gets the veal here so we know what to expect. Well we were wrong, we didn't expect this. My daughter had the penne and she said it was ok but they shored her on the sauce (photo). She didn't even keep hers for leftovers. My wife ordered from the menu on line and when she was told the total she asked why it was so much more than what the menu said? The person that took the order informed my wife that they hadn't updated the on line menu. So all of this **** for $79.10. I have no problem paying that for a good meal but this was not a good meal. I will not be back and will let everyone I know how this restaurant has gone down hill! This is a shame because I really did enjoy it in the past.
No idea how anyone could give this place a 5 star review. The only thing going for this place is the proximity to the beach and the size (can get seated fairly quickly). However, the food is why you came here, and you will likely leave disappointed unless you ordered pepperoni pizza. Mahi Mahi is terrible, worst tasting, fishy meal ever. The mussels were not fresh, all mushy when you bite into it. The pastas were not good either seafood linguine with those small clams from a can! Horrible horrible horrible! To top it off, the prices are off the charts and fountain drinks are all watered down. Never again
Says pizza on the side but the pizza is awful. I ordered a Margherita which is supposed to have basil on it. It had one tiny piece of basil in the middle. Also ordered a capers e salad which again is supposed to feature basil. It had no basil. I asked the waiter what was up and they came back with a tiny bowl of cut up basil for me to assemble myself.
Bad Pizza and even worse take-out window service. I ordered a pizza from Crystal Beach 's San Vito 's Take-Out four hours before I wanted to pick it up, and was given a definite pick-up time. When I arrived, not only was it not ready, but a number of customers were waiting outside in the hot sun, with no order as to who was next in line to order, or who had already ordered and was waiting for their order to be ready. Complete chaos, and no staff member was asking who wished to place an order, and who was there to pick up an order that had already been placed. When a young man finally appeared in the take-out window to assist me, the teenage staff members were playing around inside so boisterously, that the young man could not even hear me over the background din. When I told the young female cashier that I had already paid the young man at the window, she did not take may word, and asked the young man three times if I had in fact paid. Very insulting customer service. The pizza itself was unacceptable. Clearly the product of a staff member who had not received even the most fundamental instructions on the proper preparation of a $21.47, supposedly gourmet pizza. See photo! The owner should be ashamed that the restaurant is being run in such a chaotic and unprofessional way. I would urge anyone looking for a gourmet pizza in the area to look elsewhere. Beleive me, there are much better choices available.
