Came to Pelican Landing on recommendation of a friend for a good lunch place near the water in Ft. Lauderdale and I WAS NOT dissapointed! For what it is (a restaurant on the water), it gets 5/5 stars First tip: if you see this place on Google Maps, it looks as if it were in the middle of the water... don't let it shy, this place is worth the short trek. It is accessible via the piers directly near Pier 66 Hotel, so I would go to Pier 66 Hotel and then signs will lead you where you go. We arrive on a Saturday at 12:30 to provide enough seats. We sat right by the water to a beautiful view of the river Stranahan and the port of Lauderdale. Certainly try to sit on the water. VIBES: Waterfront vibes. You can't help but feel relaxed while sitting here. FOOD: My friend recommended to get the fish tacos, just like the waitress, so I didn't have much choice in the matter... the fish tacos were ordered. It is not too big of a menu (which I like), but they have a variety of surf options (as we are in South Florida) and some turf options. The fish tacos came with 2 on order and with large pieces of fish, with cabbage claw and pickled vegetables. The lateral sauce was also fired so that it was with. You have the possibility of frits, sweet potatoes, and a side salad and given my gluttonic food in the week before I came here, I decided not to expect much for the side salad (can be a few romaine salad with some tomatoes). But I was pleasantly surprised! The salad came with a base of mixed green, seasoned cashews, mangos and shrunk coconut with mango vinaigrette. WOW! I know it can be an unpopular opinion to order the side salad, hey I rarely order salads when I'm out because I eat them so much at home, but do it! All this filled me and I have quite a big appetite. Next time I'm in Fort Lauderdale, I'll definitely get back to Pelican Landing.
Great food great view! Happy hour is 7 days a week, 2-6 half off house wines good liqueur, all beers! Tacos are the best, so the Fritten! Parking is free, everything you need to do is bring your parking card to the restaurant and ask your server or bartender to validate it! This is a hidden jewel in Fort Lauderdale! Absolutely try.. On weekends, I recommend you make a reservation as they are really busy. on weekends with live music
Unique location, spectacular view, good food on the intracoastal. Super friendly and friendly staff, every time. Finding a little tricky if you're not out of the area, you just have to go to the end of the pier. Upstairs is not accessible, there is a steep staircase on the side of the building. The location is so spectacular, it can even make a bad day good. It feels like eating on the upper level of a super yacht! Make sure you have validated your parking card from the waitress or waiter.
The food was great and our server Alexa was amazing. She was doing it all. The bartender called off so it was just her and the chef. She did such a great job with a full patio and all with a smile on. We will definitely be back. It's worth noting that there is a very large Yacht that does block your view of the waterway so your view may vary. Good happy hour with half off wine, beer, and cocktails from 3 I believe until 6. It would have been a 5 if we would have had a better view.
