Surekha’s On The Snye - Fort McMurray

Food was very good, service was pleasant but very relaxed. We weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t bother us. It’s a great addition to Fort McMurrray. Pictures below, we opted out of the garlic mashed potatoes and had Caesar salad instead, which was fantastic.

60 minuets to get some dried out/over cooked Eggs Benedict.. Some room for improvement!

Great time and food. Disappointed with the waiter. There was a large table who got most of his attention. TIP was reflective of mediocre service.

This is a nice addition to Fort McMurray. They are trying to establish a fine dining atmosphere in a restaurant that is open for all three meal periods. This is not easily accomplished but I think they have done a pretty good job of it. First off the view from the tables is impressive right on the Snye. We started with the charcuterie board for 2 it was presented very nicely with a nice assortment of cheese and crackers. It could of used a nice jelly instead of a compound butter and the garlic bread was a miss. For our main course we had the Lamb and mushroom ravioli. The lamb was cooked perfectly fall off the bone and the pesto mashed excellent served with 4 different veg and a delightful sauce. Ravioli was made fresh and the stuffing was well done mushroom flavour was excellent. The sauce was a little bland. The crispy pancetta was a nice touch. The desert was a sight to behold warm carrot lava cake to die for not to mention the sugar work on the plate. One piece had to be 18 inches long. In addition to all this here you can bring your own wine for a corkage of 15 dollars this is a fabulous option we took advantage of this and brought with us a nice bottle. I was quite happy to see that they recognized this bottle needed to be decanted and brought over an experienced leader to teach our server how to do it correctly. All these things combined makes this a very nice option for a nice dinner out in Fort Mcmurray. If I had one complaint it would be that the live music was too loud for the type of restaurant they are trying to promote in the evenings. We will return again

Our favorite restaurant in Fort McMurray. Atmosphere is wonderful and the food is great. Great place for lunch, dinner, or even just a quick coffee break (the coffee is amazing). Always our first recommendation to friends and family.
