Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónDaughter and I went to a late breakfast; it was about noon. The place is unique that there is a post office in the same room as the restaurant access through the same door. Eclectic, yet inviting. The restaurant takes the majority of the room and gives you the little Havana feeling as if it belongs somewhere in Miami. You place your order and pay at the place where you enter the front door, they will give you a ticket and then find your own seat when you eat or wait a place while they work on your order. When you hear your call, approach the pickup that is in another place. If you eat in them, give your meal on a paper plate; if you 'go', you will get a foam food case. Nothing beautiful, but it works and quite organized. Very like a cafeteria in Miami. I enjoyed the experience. Menu was ethnic, but also American basic options. Prices appropriate. Service behind the counter was friendly and helpful; speak English or Spanish clearly. My disappointments were in 1. we wanted pancakes, but they stop serving pancakes after 11:00 because of not enough barbecue available after this hour. 2. The order location is too close to the doorstep, causing confusion in foot traffic with lines both in restaurant and post service.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Ordered basic breakfast eggs, bacon, rye toast and meal. The portion was small compared to other local diners (which are not many). Did not please the grottos, they seemed like instant enjoyment and the texture was not pouring, it was more like cream. The room was very clean and comfortable. I revisit and try something else on the menu. It wasn't terrible.
The real deal. Authentic Cuban and Latin foods. Coffee and pastries are perfect.
Stopped in for a cafe con leche and a pastry. Both were awesome. Ended up back for lunch and had the Cuban sandwich lunch special. Absolutely outstanding sandwich, great value as well. Staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. Trust me no need to venture to Miami to find an authentic Cuban sandwich. I will definitely be back.
Cuban lunch with a side of stamps This is a local gem. It is a counter service breakfast/lunch joint sharing space with a post office. Be aware that they are not open on the weekends. Most people seem to opt for the Cuban sandwich I went the Picadillo and was not disappointed. Flavor was good, portions were ample and the staff very friendly. Our tostones were a bit bland but the sweet plantains were very good. The food was served on paper plates and plastic silverware. There was plenty of space for inside seating and everything seemed clean. There is street parking and a lot across the street, If you have a hankering for some Cuban on weekdays before 3 give this place a try recommended
