Nice little shop in Honolulu if you want Chinese cuisine. After quite an experience going to Mori on Waikiki beach the day prior, we decided to visit Chong Qing and needless to say, we needed this. Great food, attentive staff. Cold apps, to the entrees, was great. It felt like home. So definitely give this place a try if you're in Honolulu.
Parking: Street parkingRecommended when you want to eat spicy Chinese noodles. It was nice to be able to choose according to the type of noodles, toppings, and spiciness. There are many different types, so you can eat them in a variety of ways.-Booed Fish with Pickled Cabbage Chili Rice Noodle: It was the most delicious dish I ordered. It was a little spicy, so the soup was just spicy and delicious. The portion size was just right and there was a lot of fish so I was full. The vegetables that came with it were steamed like fried chicken, so they were soft and delicious. It also has a spicy, numbing taste because it contains the sancho that I tried in Malatang. Because it was rice noodles, the noodles were very slippery, but I think it would be delicious when eaten with other noodles.-Dry Double Cooked Pork Noodle: I ordered it on the spiciest level, so much so that I lost all feeling in my tongue. I couldn't really taste the seasoning, but I didn't think it was delicious. I ordered the wide side and it suited me well. The meat had a lot of fat like pork belly, so I didn't like it.-Wuwei Spicy Beef Noodle: It was unique because the meat was served separately from the noodles. The meat tastes like soy sauce. The soup tasted like a mixture of soy sauce and soybean paste. I ordered the thin noodles, but I personally liked the thin noodles.-5 Spiced Beef Tendon: It's chewy like pork rind and the seasoning is delicious. I think it would be good to eat as a side dish with alcohol.
I ate duck blood rice noodles today. The portion was too small and very oily. There were so many people queuing up today because of the festival. Before the meal was finished, they started clearing the tables and urging customers to leave. I won’t go there again.
Just finished eating here with my family of 5.My wife is Chinese. We all agreed that Chong Ching Cuisine is the best Chinese restaurant in Hawaii.Food was delicious, fresh, and straight from the kitchen which ensures its temperature hot.If I could give the restaurant 15 stars, I would.I am afraid my review will drive so many customers there that I will have a hard time getting a seat as the restaurant dining area is small and intimate. It was so good we all agreed to eat there again tomorrow!!!
