Creekside Catfish - Fort Valley

They're only open Thursday through Saturday 3 weeks a month so check their schedule but the food and service are worth the effort. I grew up eating fresh catfish on the bone and this is the first place in a long time that I found someone who even offered it but also prepared it like it should be. We were in Perry for a week long conference and we were sure to go both weekends. Be sure to go early, they get crowded fast.

A my grandmama would say, Shut yo mouth. This place is as good as it gets for fresh catfish. Not sure what they call them in GA, but we call them sharpies in FL. And the are delicious. Get some sweet tea and some greens on the side and some hush puppies and you are good to go. The only slight negative is the opening salad and having to get there at 4pm to avoid the rush.

A sign of good food is a packed parking lot! The best fried shrimp I've had in years! Large portions! Great staff.

We were anxious to try Creekside Catfish and we were NOT disappointed! Great Service, excellent food and we certainly enjoyed our experience! Just get there early, if you can, because the wait get get lengthy. Every item we had, especially the Shrimp, were excellent. We are looking forward to the next visit! Be certain to check their website for their hours, since they are not open every weekend! Give them a try, dessert was great, be preto to take it home
