Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI really liked Sin Vida - it was a different kind of Mexican to your run of the mill ho-hum chains that you get in Brisbane and was a breath of fresh air. So sad to see them packing everything up last Saturday when I called in. I asked whether they had closed for good and was told by the guy packing up the furniture and fittings that they had. I don't know why nothing seems to make a success in this building - the food was really good. People must not want to stroll the 50 metres away from James Street to get here. So very sad to see this go.
We made an on-line booking in this new Mexican restaurant. We found the waitress we had to be bubbly and happy to make recommendations and she was from South America so the accent added that extra flare!I loved their spin on Mexican which is a little different to the usual. They make their own corn chips and you have to try the crackling it is yum!Their sauces were all very tasty and I loved the way they did their Tacos (like a tasting plate of different types/flavours).You can park for free as they have car parking underneath and they validate your ticket. A little more expensive but the taste and quality is there so you don't mind too much.
I went here with a client of mine for a quiet dinner on a Wednesday night. The restaurant is located in a new precinct of Fortitude Valley amongst a number of similar restaurants. The setting is a little corporate / trendy (it's on the ground floor of an office building) which doesn't quite suit the aesthetic of the restaurant, but once inside the atmosphere is pretty good. The menu is very creative, authentic and well-priced, with only a passing nod to "westernised" Mexican cuisine. In addition, they stock a number of uncommon Mexican beers to complement the meals. The only downside was the cooking itself was a little bit hit-and-miss. My tortilla chips were somewhat overcooked and the goat barbacoa was too oily for my liking. However the jalapeño poppers were excellent and my client liked his chicken tacos. All in all not a bad experience, and I'll be back to give it another go.
The food was great here, and the location good, in the M&A courtyard. The waiter was a bit busy, but we had a great time
Very Yummy but a little pricey. The ingredients were fresh and the flavour authentic. Great tequila menu.
