We stayed in a one bedroom sleeps six unit. It was huge and very clean. The staff was very friendly. Only a few minutes from Echo Lake beach and Cannon Mountain. Nothing nearby for dining though and limited delivery options. Overall resort is a bit dated and a little more remote than I thought it would be.
I was able to pick up an exchange to Mittersill for a very low amount of TPUs through RCI. Even though the reviews weren't the greatest, I decided to take the risk. So glad I did! My son and I spent three nights over Memorial Day Weekend, and we really enjoyed the resort. No issues with checking in at all. Our room was 224, which was on the second floor, just off the elevator. The door opened into the kitchen/dining/living room area. While small, it was certainly enough for our needs. The sink and dishwasher were in an island, and then full sized fridge and stove with microwave above were along the wall. More than enough plates/etc for 6 people. The dining table had 6 chairs. Sofa in the living area made a bed. Master bedroom had a king bed, which was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Bedroom was quite large. Large closet and a chest of drawers. Small bathroom with a standard tub. Second bedroom had two twin beds and another small bath. REALLY CLEAN...nice job to the housekeeping department! New carpets, newer furnishings and appliances. Strange remodel on the bathrooms...fixtures/sinks were new, but the tile was old. No matter. It certainly worked fine for us. There is no a/c here, so I'd packed fans. Didn't need them...there were oscillating fans mounted on the wall in both bedrooms and the living room. We opened windows and got those fans going and we were fine. Location is amazing for this place. Right at the foot of Cannon Mountain. We rode the tram to the top one day and enjoyed the views. Located about equally distant from Lincoln and Littleton on I93. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants in both towns. We went to Littleton one day and had lunch at The Coffee Pot...a tiny little diner with great food. This trip was to relax, and we did that. There is an indoor swimming pool, hot tub etc here, and they looked just fine, but we chose to enjoy lots of walks and quiet instead. Lots of hot water, plenty of towels with TWO chances to exchange them during the week if needed, and space to spread out. I will be watching for a chance to return. It's not fancy, not the Ritz, and not right in the middle of the action...but this place gave us an enjoyable long weekend. Just what we needed!
We enjoyed our stay at Mittersell Alpine Resort. Our unit was really nice, clean and so nice and quiet. We enjoyed the view with all the beautiful trees and quaint ski cottages around the area. Close to Cannon Mtn. and Breton Woods.
This place has gone downhill fast. Stayed for February vacation week. Bar was closed for most of the week. Front door was locked which was not welcoming. Tubs and showers were dirty and slimy. Management needs to do better.
