Backwoods Bbq - Fredericksburg

AUGUST 2024 UPDATE: Ate at PaPa Jack 's BBQ in Waco Texas since reading it was 2nd Best in the State of Texas. We would not give it that high a rating. The brisket was dry..the Best Brisket is Juicy! When we walked to the car my gentleman friend said that Wasn 't Near as Good as Backwoods BBQ in Fredricksburg . I totally agreed. Can 't wait to go to Backwoods Barbecue again. Best Brisket Ever..I like JUICY..Great Sides... I still think about how delicious the meal was!

Great food. Well worth it. Traveled to Fredricksburg from Fort Worth and wanted to try a new place to eat. Only complaint that has nothing to do with restaurant is the food delivery didn't bring cutlery for me to eat it with so had to put it in cooler until I went to buy some forks but that's not restaurants fault. Food is great though.

Love this place, but don't come after lunch. We've been several times and they are out of most the meats and potato by dinnertime.

This place is absolutely fantastic!! We went on Friday night steak night and it was perfect! The customer service, the food, the music, and the atmosphere made for a great evening! The owners also walk around and talk and chat about how things are going. I would highly recommend going on Friday steak night, but Thursday night Chicken Fried steak is also great! It is well worth the drive and you can’t go wrong!!

Had the two meat plate, pork ribs and brisket with creamed corn and beans. Taste was excellent. Parking: Lots of spots some were shaded.
