The staff were so friendly and helpful. The service was top drawer. We were treated to some excellent cocktails and an excellent meal.
We had an amazing lunch here with no flaws. We decided to try it out because we both had a voucher for a complimentary glass of champagne. The meal we had was outstanding. The food was excellent, the service was efficient, and the atmosphere was lovely.
I went for lunch and ordered a fish finger sandwich and a Caesar salad sandwich with fries and chunky chips. Both were very tasty and satisfying. The young waitstaff on the terrace were friendly and helpful. Lauren and a young man were happy to serve us and eager to assist. It was enjoyable to sit on the terrace in the sun. However, it was disappointing that the older man with an accent who greeted us in the restaurant seemed grumpy. He didn't seem welcoming, even though we had booked a table and it wasn't busy. He asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, and when we said outside, he presented us with two closed menus and asked which one we wanted. After a bit of confusion, we chose one and said we would come back if we needed anything else. Despite this, we had a pleasant and delicious meal. I would recommend this restaurant.
We had our vow renewal celebrations at the Clifton Arms on June 5th and it was absolutely amazing!! We did our ceremony at the wedding Chapel and the headed to the hotel. We were greeted by a lovely lady (I can’t remember her name unfortunately) but she was so so lovely. We were a little stressed as our daughter was upset in the car ride to the hotel and the photographer was stuck in traffic which meant we couldn’t get the arrival photos we had hoped for, the lovely lady that was waiting for us made us feel so at ease. She handed us (and our family) a glass of bubbly and asked if there is anything at all she can do. We decided to carry on with the photos when the photographer arrived. The lady took us to the talbot suite where we had canapés and more bubbles. The staff were so attentive and friendly and nothing at all was too much trouble and this carried on the entire day. A few hiccups that we encountered (nothing that the hotel had done) the staff were on hand to help in any way they possibly could. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing. There was a gentleman serving us all day and he was absolutely amazing!! He made our day even more special, he looked after us all so well. I cannot thank this lovely hotel enough for all that they did and Chelsea for bringing our wishes to life and answering all my 100s of questions in the run up to the renewal. We also had family stay at the hotel and they said that everything was perfect!! Thanks again. The hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts. <3 x
