Golaghat Gymkhana

Golaghat Gymkhana located in Station Road, Golaghat is a heritage bungalow built in 1910 by Rai Bahadur Ghanashyam Barua, converted into a clubhouse. The present–day club, open to all, is equipped with a lounge bar along with a billiard table, a gymnasium and a swimming pool, a restaurant besides rooms for lodging. It's location is very attractive as it is situated near the heart of the city and yet is secluded. Beautifully landscaped and well maintained, it has a very pleasant ambiance. We went there for lunch on a Sunday in a family group consisting six of us. We reached at 12 noon as advised when we contacted earlier over phone as we were told on Saturdays and Sundays there is heavy rush. When we were reached the restaurant was almost empty though bar was populated though not full. All items in menu were not available including soda, but the food was good. The service was painfully slow though and it was hard to locate a wait staff. When we left around 2:30 pm, there was queue of people waiting outside. I wonder what would have been the pace of service than. Since this was our first visit, I don't know whether this is the state of service always. However, the staff was well behaved and polite.

Not worthy for stay at all. Even u won’t all the food that are present in the menu. I stayed for 6 days but I didn’t get a fish curry. Even TV Chanel’s are not coming properly. I mean if u pay rs 1800 per night, u just can’t watch only music channels

Ambience of the restaurant, bar, compound is excellent. Its food quality and service is very good. The location is very near to the town hub yet isolated and exclusive. You feel at home in a remote place in Golaghat Gymkhana.

The gymkhana is centrally located and has a good selection of food and drink. There are separate bar and restaurant areas, which are both well appointed in a historic building. The bar area has a nice view of the lawn and garden. A very nice place to eat, drink or spend a few hours in this small town.

This restaurant is a great place to visit! It is well designed and even has a bar. They also serve hookah and other drinks. The food is delicious. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends or family on weekends. The swimming pool and gym are only for members, but the lawn is stunning. In the evening, with the lights on, it looks even more beautiful. It's a nice place to relax and take some beautiful photos.
