On our way home we decided to stop here for breakfast and all agreed it was the great meal for before hopping on the road home. My sister even ordered a to go plate for theroad. Also a lovely back story about Liz. A must try and have!!!
Have read and heard about the breakfast for years, but as a working person and it not open on Saturday, we have never been able to try the breakfast. Having a day off, we made plans to try the breakfast. We ordered eggs, bacon, sausage and country friedsteak with biscuits and gravy, grits and a pancake. The bacon was nice and crisp with good flavor. Sausage had a little moresage than we liked, but was good. The country fried steak was good. Biscuits and gravy were ok, but not the best in Nashville. The grits were a little under cooked. On the whole, it was a good breakfast, but not as good as we had expected. We had thecatfish before. Catfish was large meaty pieces with a great flavor.
Great catfish!!! Wonderful people!!! I was introduced to the catfish on friday and HAD to get 2 containers of catfish for my little family of 4 the same day. We had to get 2 more today. We're already planning on going back to try more things
I ordered soft fried livers and they were over cooked so that I could not break it barely cut them in half with a knife and I was told by the waiter that there were no need to send them back and that that's the way they all are cooked. So I ordered aside salad and black eyed peas which was to sweet to eat. And I ended up having to pay over seven dollars for two small sizes. When I went to pay the owner asked me about why my livers we're removed from my order sheet and I told her why and what thewaitress said and she commented that's not so and apologized for my experience but yet still charged me for the two sides. Itwasn't worth the drive from Nashville. My first and last visit there
The friendliest restaurant in town. They are the kindest and have the best customer service around. But the food?. It is amazing. I had only been in a month earlier after surgery, I had just recently gotten out of my sling and stopped by to trybreakfast and one lady remembered me and asked how my shoulder was doing. I ordered my food which a very polite gentleman toldme what they had on the menu during a phone call I placed on the way there. While I sat another sweet lady brought me a cup ofcoffee cream sugar and didn?t forget a spoon. Hands down the best place to eat. Amazing food and service. Thank you all forbeing so kind.??
