While this is a cafeteria style restaurant, the food was very good and considering it was aboard a ferry with no competition, quite affordable. Food generally is fairly expensive in the Atlantic Provinces, even considering the favorable exchange rate with the US. This ended up being one of our least expensive meals. It's not fancy, but the staff obviously cares enough to make it tasty and it's served quickly.
We ate breakfast on the ferry. It was a decent price and surprisingly good food. I get sick easy from too much grease or meat products (eggs included) but did not get sick from the food on the boat.
We loved riding on the Ferry & dining on great chowder & fish & chips. We leave Grand Manan tomorrow back to California. The Ferry is wonderful/ but SO SAD to leave our daughter & Grand daughter.
It was good to discover that the ferry service did not take advantage of being the meal serive available. Food was very good and staff serving very nice.
