The Viewpoint Restaurant

Arrived at the airport very early for our flight, so went up to the restaurant for coffee and to put in some time. Decided to share an order of the dry ribs. They were surprisingly tasty and reasonable for airport food. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Restaurant was clean with lots of tables for the busy times. Helped put in some long hours.

I've sat in many airport restaurants, this is one of my favorites! I had an omelet, priced fair, and not lacking. Nice hot cup of coffee and good service. The view was awesome!

Flight delayed - had heard good reviews about the airport restaurant, so I decided to try it. Very disappointing. The chicken in my wrap was microwaved (although it was white meat and real chicken- you could tell it was reheated in the microwave - it got very rubbery/hard). The wrap lacked filling and flavor. The fries were overcooked (or maybe refried?). The server's were nice, but the food was horrible!

During my recent visit to Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada I arrived early for my flight back to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and decided to have lunch at the airport in Grande Prairie. The Viewpoint was the name of the restaurant and I enjoyed a very good meal from a server who truly looked like she enjoyed her job. The meal was quick and the service was excellent. The view of the planes landing during my meal was an unexpected bonus.

We loved having breakfast here. The food was delicious, the service was fast and the restaurant was tidy and clean. A lot nicer than some other airport restaurants we have been to!
