Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI had anticipated a memorable dining experience, but the subpar food overshadowed any positive aspects of my visit. It's a shame that the potential I saw in the menu was not reflected in the actual dishes served. To me, a restaurant's food is its core, and unfortunately, in this case, it fell short. I sincerely hope Tawakal East African Restaurant takes this feedback to heart and focuses on enhancing the food quality to align with the promises made by their menu. As it currently stands, I cannot recommend the restaurant based on my recent experience. Moreover, I suggest that the restaurant consider serving injera every day instead of just on weekends. Limiting certain foods to specific days restricts customer choices and could detract from the overall dining experience.
I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. As soon as I walked in, the place had a rundown appearance. To make matters worse, there was no service at all. The woman working there was on the phone and seemed indifferent to whether we wanted to place an order. I also found it frustrating that certain dishes were only available on specific days, which is a major downside. For instance, you can only get injera on weekends. Additionally, the prices on the menu are quite high. Overall, it just wasn't worth it, and I won't be returning.
The food is absolutely amazing!!! Robust flavor and authentic!
The server was nice but the bill was higher than the advertised price by a fair amount. The food was average at best and the cleanliness was a bit less than average. The ambience was equivalent to eating in a bus station. I wouldn’t eat here again though I’m a big fan of African food.
Absolutely amazing food and wonderful warm service! Would recommend to anyone who loves lots of flavor and authentic African cuisine.
