Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónTo start, our waitress Grisella was pleasant, professional and courteous. The reason for three stars is that I ordered a patti melt and asked the waitress if I could have a turkey burger instead of the standard beef burger that comes on a classic pattimelt. She said, ?So, you want a turkey burger on bread??. I said no. The patty melt comes grilled, on rye and melted cheese andonions. She said, ?well you can have whatever kind of bread you want on your turkey burger?. So I said, I want rye, like issupposed to be on the patti melt. She said ok, and asked what kind of cheese, and told me, ?because its technically a turkeyburger, it will come with lettuce and tomato as well, is that ok?? I said sure. Well, I was served exactly what she said, aturkey burger on bread, and NOT a patti melt. I was disappointed that Grisella didn?t understand the difference in the menuitems. The sandwich was fresh and hot, but not what I wanted. I understand the menu is huge and perhaps it?s difficult to knowall the ins and outs of every single dish, but I have also worked in restaurants for many years and know there are specialmodification options on the ordering systems that easily could have asked for a turkey burger substitution.
A classic American diner with breakfast anytime. Nothing fancy or subtle but all good. My favorites are their excellent breakfast choices but family likes lunch choices also. So rare to get good biscuits and gravy but they know how. Huge place sono problem bringing a large group.
This place reminds me of the family restaurants I used to go to back in the 80s. For me it was nostalgic, in a good way. The staff were nice and helpful. Plenty of seats, so there was no wait. The menu has a bunch of options for everyone in the family. We were there mid-afternoon for a late lunch. I opted for the BLT chicken sandwich (nicely seasoned grilled chicken breast withbacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado on a sesame seed bun), and crinkle fries (haven't had these in years). I enjoyed my mealalong with an unsweetened iced tea. My son got the kids size spaghetti and meatball. The pasta was al dente which was fine, butthe sauce tasted weird (I confirmed that when I tried a bite). It was kind of sweet, but not like a typical marinara sauce. Itcame with one large meatball that was so dense that he was having a hard time cutting it. He's twelve and doesn't usually have aproblem cutting things. He was disappointed with his meal and only managed to eat a quarter of the large portion they gave him.Honestly after trying his food, I can't say I blame him. So it's kind of hit or miss depending on the dish. The prices are alittle high, but if you're just visiting the area, it's a decent choice compared to some of the other options.
Ordered the same thing on 3 straight occasions. Early in the morning when it is relatively empty. Got the wrong food. The 3rd time I mentioned very respectfully to the waitress that the chef isn 't clear on how to make some things on the menu. Someoneshould let him know. She replied, well, its the owner. To which I doubled down, well, the owner doesn 't know how to makewhat 's on the menu. When she returned, she had to apologize for the owner who was no where to be seen. Our table was told, well... he is tired. Not only is he tired, he is a coward for sending someone else out to make excuses instead of owning hisown mistake. Made excuses, blamed his worker, wouldn 't come out and apologize... quick way to lose customers. I suppose mediocreservice is acceptable these days. The establishment is about as average to below average as it gets. Owner... learn your menu.Being tired is a lousy excuse. Be better, its not hard.
I love eating! it was amazing and the server offers excellent service! the food proportions were very generous, none of us ended our eating, we all had to take off afterwards, but 100% recommended
