The food was delicious and contemporary, and we have dined here on several occasions. The pub seemed a bit understaffed, with the hardworking employees running around nonstop to keep up with the demand. The tables were well spaced and COVID-safe. The weather was lovely, making for a pleasant afternoon. I would highly recommend visiting this pub. Just be prepared for a little walk to the restroom, located a 20-minute stroll away from the main building.
We are regular patrons of this pub, often stopping by after a walk with our dog. Phil and his team always greet us warmly, whether we are regulars or new visitors. The staff work well together to provide the best possible experience for customers. Considering the challenges the pub sector has faced in recent years, it is wonderful to see our favorite pub thriving. During our visit last weekend, we enjoyed delicious jacket potatoes - my tuna mayo was excellent, while my husband's prawn Marie Rose sauce was superb. Our friends shared a pizza that looked and tasted fantastic. These items were specials, but we believe the jacket potatoes should be added to the menu permanently as they are exceptional. We hope that with fewer restrictions this year, the pub will once again become a bustling hub of activity. For those who may encounter any issues, we recommend addressing them with the staff promptly so they can be resolved. If necessary, ask to speak with the manager in order to ensure a positive experience. We wish the team at the Jolly the very best for 2022, and hope it proves to be a much better year than 2021.
After taking a stroll in the local area, I decided to book a table at this pub for lunch. The staff were extremely helpful and the atmosphere was very welcoming. They had a special Jubilee menu available, which was a nice surprise. The food was excellent – freshly cooked, hot, and full of flavor. Just be aware that the pub has limited opening times on certain days.
Lovely Fullers country pub on the edge of a popular dog walking area near Worplesdon. Excellent ale and decent pub grub at fair prices for the area. Very friendly landlord and efficient staff. Great just for a quick drink right up to a full three course meal with all the trimmings!
The worst burger I ever had in a restaurant and overpriced! we were served a dry piece of chicken between a dry and cold rolls with not even a little butter on the brot. no sauce, no cheese and no salad in the burger and for £15!!! bad table service too. will not come back.
