Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe atmosphere and the building is cool, and had some great music. Unfortunately wasn’t a big fan of the prime rib. My friend and I both ordered prime rib, myself rare and he got medium rare. They came out identical, so if they are not going to be cooked separately I would have rather been told how the entire cut had been prepared. Have heard good things from many people but on that particular night we did not feel it lived up to the hype.
It seemed over expensive and my salmon piece was very small
Buffet for dinner was a little lacking due to so many patrons. However steak off the menu was fantastic. Also the seasonal trimmings and decorations were extremely festive as were the staff. Very enjoyable (early) evening with friends and family.
Had a large meeting here. The food is good, the portions are large, and the staff is amazing.
Update: Took the owner up on their offer and gave Haines a second chance tonight. I had prime rib and my wife had filet. Both were cooked properly and tasted great. The service was excellent. Thank you Haines for redeeming yourselves. The homemade key lime pie was incredible btw! Here 's the TLDR: Terrible service ruined our anniversary dining experience, Made a reservation for 6:45 for 2. Drove the 40 minutes to Haines from our home. Arrived and was seated. Waited almost 10 minutes for anyone to serve us. Ordered drinks and dinner. Was told a batch of bread was cooking and would be out shortly. After waiting 45 minutes without any service our waitress stopped by to say, sorry it 's taken so long, there 's a large group in the back, your food should be out shortly. About 15 minutes later she came by and said, your food will be a couple minutes more, it 's my fault because I forgot to enter your order, your medium rare steak shouldn 't take long. I asked if we could get some bread (we had never received any and she delivered it. A few minutes later (at 8pm the restaurant closed. A few minutes later my wife 's chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes arrived. The manager (owner? then stopped by to say, I 'm sorry about what happened, I normally catch that A few minutes later my steak arrived. The food was fine but certainly not worth the almost hour and a half wait. There was never an offer to comp anything or make things right. Honestly there is no way we would have waited so long but we had a gift certificate which we received from family for our anniversary. This was not much of an anniversary dinner. Near the end the music was turned off and some of the lights turned off. We boxed up most of our meal and left. A very disappointing dining experience.
