Blue Olive Greek Taverna - Halifax

This restaurant experience provides friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere, however I have experienced traditional Greek cuisine, the Blue Olive Greek came close 8/10.

If you can’t go to Greece this restaurant is the next best thing! The location is an authentic setting on Quinpool Rd in Halifax. We’ve been many times and the food is always delicious. You really can’t go wrong with whatever choice you make. Jimmy, the owner, is extremely friendly and accommodating. If by chance you have a problem with your meal he will make it right. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Completely disappointed. The chicken I had wasn’t t fresh definitely it was frozen before cook and also meal was too greasy and Customer service was horrible just waste of money not recommended at all pictures attached as you can see I didn’t eat even 10% of my meal which I left the whole of meal left on my plate when you talked about tip waitress earn the tip with respect not to beg it like a beggar and I told your respected waiters my food is too oily and not fresh then she didn’t feel like call the manager to rectify the issue and she walked away . Next time tell your waiters to be respectful to your customers and don’t beg for tip please

The Blue Olive Greek Taverna was great! My husband had read the menu ahead of time and googled it, and wasn't fussy. BUT! He quickly changed his mind once we stepped into the restaurant and you could smell the food. The food was delicious and well presented. We started out with an appetizer the calamari with a tomato based sauce. So good! The chicken souvlaki, the ravioli and the chicken Spanakopita, consumed by three of us were delicious and plentiful, as two of us took some home. The server was very hospitable and friendly, and the chef/owner came out twice to see if we enjoyed our meal. Great service, great food! If you like Greek food, you must go there. It is a very warm, clean, friendly, family restuarant!
