Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis restaurant is fantastic, I visit here every week for groceries and occasionally for lunch. They have amazing sandwiches and a wide variety of desserts!
Whenever I purchase items from this establishment, I carefully consider the prices before making a decision on what to buy. I anticipate that the prices will be higher than those at a smaller, more easily accessible market.
I recently started a new job nearby and have passed by this market many times on my way to work. I was determined to stop in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by what I found.
Words are not justice to describe the quality food, location and service. Nica's Gourmet is a MUST visit when in New Haven!!! Cow Girl is my Go To!!
$27 for flowers that would be $3 at any other store. I know prices aren 't something that I should be making a review about but it caught me so off guard that it actually made me angry. First of all, price tags are scarce in the store, so you don 't know what you 're paying until you get to the register. I picked up a small bouquet of stock (not even peonies or anything exotic. Might as well be dandelions for God 's sake). brought it to the counter, where the checker couldn 't figure out how to ring it up. It changed hands twice, a guy brought it to the back of the store where I assume someone randomly assigned it an outrageous price, and I didnt end up seeing said price until it was already rung up on the register. I think I was in shock, and there were people behind me, and everyone went through all the fuss to tell me that it was $26.95 so I just pulled out my card and paid for it. But honestly, $26.95 for a tiny bouquet of stock??? $26.95???????????? Being a boutique grocery is no excuse. This is just unbridled greed.
