Even under the week, the service needs a few minutes and a conversation with the two men sitting at a table behind the gate to find a place for the guest in the empty third of the place. The ambience is modern and lives from the repetition. The daily card runs automatically on the tablet which is placed on the table in the bar frame. The extensive main card comes in an unhandy A4 format, so main dishes are between 15 and 27 euros. Included is usually a salad buffet. When I sit near the wooden door, I accompanied the loud conversations of the two men throughout my stay. It is about different people whose lives they do not like to be open. As a greeting from the kitchen there is a fleet and an olive paste with bread. Naoussa is a quiet water. It comes without glass, with carbonic acid. A demand for (from the beginning to the short-link service) shows: the large, dark decoration glasses, one of which was on my arrival on the table, are intended for the water. If there are a few decorative glasses, pour something in. Like in Greece. Don't. The silent water then comes in its own glass. As always with the Greeks, I start with Tarama. This comes in a large glass with wooden spoon. Nothing. I'm confused: Should it be eaten in? Only if I have the service after a reasonable waiting period a wooden plate with proud 3 (three) small bread slices. After all, they're dead. Gyros looks good, but has room temperature and a surprisingly high fat content. It is, well-founded, very reserved seasoned. I miss the red stars that expect optics. The Pommes and the Tsatsiki are good. One of the two men takes the checkout from the wooden door that smells me, but avoids eye contact and doesn't care if it tastes me. At 20:30 a.m., a good dozen people are stacked in front of the wooden door. The third place I was placed is still empty... I didn't feel welcome as a guest at the Meteora. Many small details that are not really problematic for themselves add to the overall impression of a place that does not meet its high demand. The numerous enthusiastic reviews allow me to hope that I only got a bad day. Conclusion: Overrated. Germany's best Mediterranean restaurant. The whole is perfectly thought-out, super cozy and specially decorated. The staff is at a very high level and the food is top dressed and super tasty. Recommendation for all in the Hannover region and like to eat well and cozy. The reservation is strongly recommended, what the restaurant is talking about.
