Lots of different options and if you ask for something specific, sometimes they will cook it for you, as long as it’s not too crazy. Salad bar is basic/classic salad bar, but clean and pretty good. Restrooms are clean and staff is always nice. They have daily specials, and offer a discount to students and if you wear tiger gear on Fridays. For the price, it’s a good deal if you are hungry. And it’s the only buffet in town. Edit: After response from Gambino’s the 4 star is really only because the inside is showing its age. The brick on the inside by the booths are falling off or missing. Small fixes like that and some updating and it’s a 5 star place. It’s important to note, this will not keep me from going. Parking: Pro tip, go out the back way that leads to 22nd street so you are not pulling into vines. Way safer and easier. Kid-friendliness: Dinner time, dine in is usually slower so we take our toddlers and it works fine. Think crust cheese for the win!
Worst service so rude and very expensive, have dry old pizza laying out and when you ask them to make a pizza they make a big deal and you cant bring out the food you didn’t finish on your plate. I watched the boss throw away some lady’s pizza that she didn’t finish she was taking it to go and he made her throw it away.
I would give this place 0 stars after my experience today the place is rude and expensive. $45 for 2 adults and 2 children.. Asked if they could make a calzone bc the one sitting had an inch of butter on the tray and was just melted cheese. The guy said oh they are buttery I said could you do one that 's not mushrooms and peppers..they made one and it was all mushrooms and bbq sauce and slop (on purpose) so then they finally had one with meat and peppers after sitting for 45 mins my family was done eating. So I grabbed a box and put 4 pieces of the calzone in it to take with me. The guy came up and took the box away and said I could not take it to go.I said you do a to go buffet and I 'm taking 4 slices of a calzone. He grabbed the box and threw it in the trash. Won 't give them our business anymore! Our friends and I used to spend atleast $40 in there once a week! No more! Place is rude and have crap pizzas that don 't accommodate kids or picky eaters either! Salad bar is always half rotten and empty too! And thing is they take your money and just don 't care! Please someone open a new pizza buffet in Hays!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!
Gambinos is the best pizza in the area by far, an absolute must try for visitors. This location specifically is one of the better ones, better than the one in colby anyways. All the staff seem nice, the dining room is old but clean, wish more restaurants were still decorated like this.
We have eaten there in the past and enjoyed, but last night was very irritating. We ordered a large pizza and a deluxe spaghetti through the app. We waited the allotted time and went to pick up but were told they forgot to make it. They said it would be a few minutes. We waited and waited. My husband decided he wanted to cancel and went to tell them and they finally gave him the food, 25 minutes after our scheduled pickup time with a quick, Sorry for the wait . The food was good. The service was very disappointing.
